Sarah graduated from The London Hospital in 1989, and has specialised in neurology since 1991. Initially working at The Royal Free Hospital and then The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery she built up experience in both acute and long – term Rehabilitation.
From there Sarah took a community role in London as lead physiotherapist, analysing the impact of specialist Neuro rehabilitation teams in the wider community and home environment.
In 1998 Sarah moved to Buckinghamshire taking up a Clinical lead post in Neuro-physiotherapy for Wycombe and Amersham Hospital. Here she was responsible for the training and clinical development of the physiotherapy neurology service.
In 2005 she set up her own community based Neuro rehabilitation practice, Chiltern Neuro Physiotherapy. She was also commissioned as an independent consultant by Buckinghamshire Acute and Primary Care trust to set up a multidisciplinary competency based stroke-training program.
She opened her own purpose built rehabilitation clinic in 2015 designed and equipped to meet the needs of all levels of disability.
She is a passionate and enthusiastic physiotherapist keen to combine hands on therapy with assistive technology with a particular interest in stroke rehabilitation, upper limb recovery and management, functional electrical stimulation, and spasticity management.
Sarah has trained in aquatic therapy and supports local Stroke and Parkinson’s groups with exercise and management.
Sarah is a member of the Association of Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN), Physio First (Organisation of Physiotherapists in Private Practice), Aquatic Therapy (ATACP )and International Functional Stimulation Society (IFESS).
